Being an expatriate mother in the UAE is full of challenges as they have to raise their children in an environment that is totally different from the countries from which they come from. Most women who are based in the Emirates are working mothers and this makes it all the more essential that these women have some source or community support group to turn to. Access to established resources of information is limited in the Emirates as the community sector is often not well developed here. The situation in Dubai is not much different though the society here is less cloistered when compared with the other Emirates.

Being a mother is a responsible role in a woman’s life as she has to care not only for her child’s wellbeing but also for providing proper avenues for the development of all the cognitive faculties in the child. Motherly love is very important for the all round development of the child. Young children have real potential to respond to an informal chat with adults. The expecting mothers also can enroll in the club so that they can prepare for the arrival of a new addition to the family by getting all the practical tips on how to raise a baby and how to plan the home for creating an inviting atmosphere at home, one that will bring out the best in the newborn child.
