Cot beds are basically cots which are wider and longer than a standard size cot. Often parents choose to buy one because they convert into a junior bed – that is a toddler sized bed – after their baby has outgrown the crib.
A junior bed is smaller than an adult bed. Generally speaking, a cot bed will probably last until your child is about three or four years old, depending on how quickly they grow.
One thing you should remember to bear in mind though is that you need to buy special sized bedding and not bedding designed for a crib. A cot bed is larger than a standard sized cribt so cot bed bedding, including duvets and sheets, take this into account and are made larger to fit properly.
Do remember that cot beds do not usually have drop sides and not all versions enable parents to select different mattress positions. Not having drop sides means it can be more difficult to get your baby in and out of it.
We think that a cot bed can be a useful way to bridge the gap between a crib and an adult bed. You don’t have to be concerned about your child’s sleeping arrangements until they are almost school age.
They are also usually only a little more expensive than a bassinet so can help you save money too as you wont need to buy a separate junior bed. Cot beds can provide a roomy sleeping option for an older baby or toddler.

We know you are probably thinking “What in the world is the big deal about nursery curtains?” Firstly, they are very important to consider. There are some things that you need to know before you decide about the types of nursery curtains that you would put in your baby’s nursery.
The type of curtains that you choose should be well thought out whenever much of the nursery is finished. There are some qualities to consider in the type of nursery curtains that you will choose.
First of all, we want the curtains to match the rest of the nursery, and probably the baby nursery bedding too. They don’t have to be anything that is over fancy. However, if you have a little girl and the room is already girly, you want them to match. Color and design do matter when you are trying to chose curtains.
The other thing that you will want to think about would be the thickness of the curtains. Are they substantial enough to where you can’t see anything through them? Are they stopping draughts from entering through during Winter? These are questions that you want to ask before you make your final choice. We also are looking for quality because we want to keep the same nursery curtains all through the baby’s childhood.
Another thing to consider is the length of the curtains. Whether you like it or not, the baby will get older and will be able to reach the curtain to bring it down. That is of course, if we buy it a little too long. Remember that we want to keep these curtains for quite a while. It is suggested to buy curtains that are not too long so that the baby can’t pull on them when he is learning to walk.

When it comes to naming their babies, some parents like to stay with tradition. This means nothing that is too different such as Nevaeh, which is “heaven” spelled backwards, or a name such as “Ziggy.” This simply means sticking to the more traditional names that include “Michael” and “Thomas.”
Some individuals like to stay with tradition when naming a child after a parent or grandparent. There is also the fact that the most traditional names are the strongest of names. Researches shows that Eating Chocolate during pregnancy is directly connected to your baby’s temperament when he’s Six month old!
Chocolate contains ingredients which has a biological impact and influence of the psychology and behavior of your baby.
Psychologists from Finland had checked if eating chocolate during pregnancy could prophesy the behavior of the baby in the age of six month old.
They interviewed 305 women about their chocolate eating habits and their stress during pregnancy.
Six months after birth, the women was asked to evaluate the temperament of their babies, and their behavior in different situations like fear, the ability to relax, smile and laughter.
Moms who reported of eating chocolate every day, during pregnancy, tended to evaluate the temper of their babies in a very positive way and the babies tended to smile and laugh.
Moms who were stressed during pregnancy tended to evaluate the temper of their babies in a negative way, specially moms who didn’t (or rarely) eat chocolate at all.
